Default D16y8 99 civic ex will not start (no crank problem)

hey guys i need some help. i just drove my car this morning. parked it and now it will not start. i have had the starter checked and solenoid checked i have good voltage in all the right places at the key at the starter at the fuses and at the clutch peddle switch also tested it there. turn the key on and i hear the fuel pump kick up lights come on and everything seems to be right when the i try to start it i can also tell that the heater relay is cutting in and out like it should so there is power getting there. i get nothing no click or anything. thanks for the help.

The starter fails to crank the engine, right?

Start by checking whether the rubber stopper that presses on the starter switch at the top of the clutch pedal has fallen out.

Test whether battery voltage reaches the starter solenoid when the clutch pedal is down and the key is in ON(III). Does the solenoid click under these conditions?

Have you tested the clutch switch itself? For example, under the conditions I mentioned, is there battery voltage on both sides of the clutch pedal switch?

Did you check for spark?

How could he possibly check for spark if the starter won't crank/turn the engine?

Ok removed the clutch switch tested as u said I have no voltage either side when key is turned to III. What I did before was make a jumper from one of the terminals to a batt + then connected the other to the volt meter and it did engage and disengage. So do u think me not having 12v on there now the switch is bad?

This^ means voltage never reaches the clutch pedal switch.

Test your ignition switch. The ON(III)/START position may be the problem.

Ok I have tested that and I have voltage to the black/white wire in position III then on voltage when key is in position II. All other terminals have 12.75v in position II. and when turned to position III the black/white terminal showed 12.77v

With the pedal switch unplugged, you need to probe for voltage at both terminals (individually) of the unplugged 2P wire harness connector (not switch). Is that what you did? If not, redo your voltage tests this way with the key in ON(III).

Ok I tested the two wires in position III. there is no voltage either side. Pink/silver or black/white.

This^ is the cruise control switch. The starter switch (Blu/Blk and Blk wires) is located higher up on the clutch pedal. Check whether the rubber stopper for the relevant starter switch is missing.

Do you have a car alarm or older car alarm harness in place?

Ok fixed it man. It would have taken me forever to look up that freaking high on the clutch. The rubber stopper just crumpled in my hands. Thank you so much. A nut and bolt I have laying around will fix.
