Default CROME - Could not load file (Gold) Bin / Ostrich

Hi,

Im trying to open my map after +1years without using crome and i'm getting this error:

Invalid File - Could not load file.

Why?
I'm running crome 1.5.3 and the map is a GOLD base...

I can't either open the bin or load/read from ostrich.. i get the same error..

I believe it's some kind of protection but it's a bad protection since i should be able to open it..

If someone has a tip please, since i tried to reach John without success.

Was it made on the same program your trying to open it on?
I have crome and I can read gold bins on 1.6.3 but on 1.5 it won't read the newer gold bins. It gives the error you said.

So any sure it's the same version it was made on.

Other then that idk. Menes works fine. Even tho I heard of people not being able to save gold bins for some reason.

Yes, it was made on the same crome gold version, but in another computer..

But i figured out how to open it

1) open crome, click new gold, save as NEWGOLD.bin and then click save again (you need to save twice to be able to open gold bins from your hd **tip**)
1b) close crome and confirm that you can open that NEWGOLD bin you just saved..

2) using an hex editor, like HxD (freeware - google it), open the NEWGOLD.bin and the YOUROLDGOLDMAP.bin...

3) copy the hex codes from offset 0x0 (0) to 0x00000360 (360) from the NEWGOLD to the YOUROLDGOLMAP.. simple ctrl+c ctrl+v that hex code...

4) save as GOLDFIXED.bin

5) open GOLDFIXED on crome done!!!

i did that and havent lost any settings or maps... but just to be sure i created a new goldmap from zero and copied all the settings and tables in that.. the important is that i was able to open it and see the values from the old map

ps: i was drunk when i found out that... im surprise lol
