Default 95 ej1 b16a swap

Okay im looking at a obd1 jdm b16a with a gsr lsd tranny the guy wants 1000 for it the motor is clean as hell. Im wondering if this is a good buy and what else i would need to swap it into my 95 civc coupe it just the motor and trans nothingelse

Cant ascertain if its good buy or not, but you will need motor mounts, cv axles, half shaft, ecu, and wiring harnes if your car is not wired for vtec. There are plenty of threads explaining what a B-Swap requires.

So your saying i can use the harness from my d16z6 for the motor since its wired for vtec?

What about ecu i heard i can use that from my d series too just get it tuned is that recomended or no?

I don't know what you heard but you can't just "tune" an ECU. First it has to be OBD1. Then it needs to be socketted. Finally it has to have VTEC capabilities if you're running a VTEC head. You need to do more research about this swap before you even think about making the purchase.

Yes its obd1 and the d series ecu is off a vtec motor so i would think it has vtec capabilities and im not sure what socketed is?
