Default Is there any way to change the ricey sound?

I just bought a $200 dollar exhaust system. Worst buy I have ever done. Is there anyway to change the sound but keep the system? Sorry for the noobie ness

Put in a resonator or swap out the muffler for something quieter, both would be better. What set up do you have?

I bought that... Worst buy ever.

So you think I should take out my catalytic converter and put in a test pipe?

Would that make it less rice? Or maybe less loud? Thanks man.

I had a similar $100 ebay exhaust on my car. i really just bought it for the 3 inch piping. I added an additional inline resonator, and replaced the fart can with a thrush hush super turbo muffler. They are usually used on domestics etc but I think it sounded great without being too loud. granted I was turbo charged so that alone gets rid of alot of the bad rasping sound.

I have that same exhaust, ive now added two resonators and a turbo muffler and its still seems pretty dang raspy and loud. i would say add a cat, in my experience they quiet things down quite a bit.

A resonator will quiet down the exhaust more than a cat will. Replaced my cat with a 15" Vibrant resonator and it was noticeably quieter. Those EBay exhausts are extremely bad for sound if you want something quiet. To really get what you want you will either need to pony up some dough and get a decent axleback known to be quiet like the WS2 or find a chambered muffler. One thing I was thinking about was to take the 05+ RSX-S muffler and putting that on but I ended up getting a WS2 and it is silent when cruising.
