Default exhaust note

My friend has an f22 accord with an open muffler on a stock pipe. I finally convinced her it sounds shitty. It has this really raspy sound in upper rpms, really earsplitting. Do yall think getting larger pipes will smooth out the sound. I know it will make the exhaust deeper, and I'm thinkin it will take out that weedwhacker sound too. Anyone back me up (or disagree) on this?

i'd say the muffler would have to do with the sound, not how big the piping is

bigger pipes will sound worse...trust me i put my 3" on before my turbo, even w/a cat and muffler it sounded bad....tell her to get a turbo, now mine sounds great w/out the cat+the turbo
