Default 3 Optima Yellow Top Batteries Dead: Need help finding short!

This is my 3rd yellow top attery that has suffered a slow death at the hands of what I believe to be an electrical short. Car is a '00 EM1

Here is where I am at:

TESTING METHOD:
- Test light connected from negative battery terminal to negative battery cable.
- OBSERVE: strong light glowing from test light when car and all accessories are off
- Remove one fuse at a time to see when light goes out
- OBSERVE: strong light disappears when underhood fuse for power door lock control unit is removed
- OBSERVE: faint glowing test light remains

QUESTION 1:
Is the power door lock system supposed to be drawing that much current when car is off?

I now want to find the source of the faint glowing light. Since all fuses have been removed, I am not sure how to do so. There are 2 large wires going into the underhood fuse box. One is a feed from the positive terminal of the battery. The other disappears into the wiring harness.

See image below:

I assume that it feeds the underhood fuse panel, but all those fuses have been removed. When I disconnect this wire that feeds into the wiring harness, all lights on the test lamp disappear.

What next?

Thanks in advance,
Jason

It could be the window relay that is bad causing the drain.

The light being dim is fine as there are things that need to be on,like radio memory, clock and ecu.

The two wires in the under hood fuse box are for charging, one is from th battery and te other is from the alt.

Hey thanks for the reply!

The dim light is on when EVERY fuse is out of both fuse boxes. So it should be off no?

I removed the alternator wire from the alternator and the dim light went out. The weird thing is that when i hooked it back up, the light did not come back on.

The battery is basically dead and won't take a charge, so I guess the battery might be completely dead.

I can't get the test light to come back on at all now.

I replaced the alternator with the battery the last time with a rebuilt unit from the parts store.

Does this info change anything?
