You purchased them already and now you are asking if they are any good?.....

They are really no different than any other oem replacement shock. Expect that they jack the price up a little bit to make you think its a performance shock that can be lowered on, when really, they are no different than a cheaper set.

I got them off eBay for 169 so it was pretty cheap and the look short compared to OEM replacement. Have you ever had them if so how long do they last cause my eg is slammed

If they are an OEM replacement and your car is slammed you will blow them quickly.

Are you incapable of searching? 5 minutes on Google would have answered your question. Good luck, have fun with your cheap Chinese/Korean/Taiwanese parts.

OP, return them.... You did the entire buying process *** backwards.

Research what you need for the height you are looking to stay at, and then make a purchase.

"Slammed" is a relative term. Please remember these basic ideas regarding life (research before purchasing) and talking to others (relative words etc). Slammed could mean 1.5" to some, and 4" to others. Life will be much easier moving forward

Never knew that being a part of a Honda forum you would be required to provide life lessons rather than car info. Mind blowing

please be more specific as to where these are manufactured. Do you have a book or online resource that you could refer to so we can be sure as to what country they are manufactured in? Are they mono tube?

please give us specs on the said struts! it has to be in a book somewhere!

If i could but in, to the op... a lot of people
judge items by things other then function.

With science in mind, i suggest you be the
person who test these shocks. Let's have
this as the conditions.

Lotek shocks vs Oem Shocks, will it do
the job!

Oncew you get them, do you have a micrometer?
Ruler? any kind of measurement tools?

Find out the piston diameter, check out any
documentation that came with them, weight,
anything.

What is all that supposed to do? Measuring something is by no means "scientific". For items such as this FUNCTION is the primary concern.

i've seen oem shocks on civics, it's honestly not that hard to make a better shock in 2012.

I mean instead of saving its from taiwan, it's crap, lets
actualy learn as much as we can about it...

It's 2013 and let's see you try it. What would your brand be called?

Seriously. How good to you POSSIBLY think a shock in this price range will perform? Do YOU have any personal experience with them? I don't. But I would risk putting garbage on my car just to save a buck. I'm long past that stage.

How about YOU prove that they are NOT garbage?

what...

thanks for derailing this into ******* stupidty. I'll dip my toe in.

First, its june, this is a ebay company which most likely drop ships from a distrubution center in taiwan, mayalsia, etc so i'm going to strongly guess these were made in 2012.

Second, in two posts you would have me start my own shock company to compare it to hondas from 1992-1995.

Yeeeaaaa budddyyyy

YOu were he one claiming it would be a simple matter to make a superior shock in 2012. I wanted to see how you would go about doing it.

You were also the one saying measuring the dimensions of the two shocks was somehow "scientific".

That's where the stupidity came in.

Ah! Here it goes. The juvenile name calling and insults when all else fails. Not that any of what you have been saying makes any sense whatsoever.

The OP bought substandard shocks and is now asking after the fact if they are good? What's the purpose? Now that we've said "no" is he going to turn around and get better shocks? Probably not. He'll run what he bought.

But go ahead and measure those shocks. Tell us your scientific findings.

Seriously dude, they are cheaply made parts. Even if they performed better than sotck they still will not last.

lol... seriously first off we just don't KNOW...

i would image they prob use a dif oil seal then a koni yellow.. and i'm sure it's prob mineal water and gas instead of yummy little nitrogen bubbles..

but i would say test them, find out actual facts then destroy the company..

Find a shock dyno. Does the company provide them? Probably not. Any proof that there's any R&D behind these? Probably not. Reputable company that actually stands behind their product? Probably not. End of story.

And when I say probably not, I mean no.

OP doesn't need to do this. It's already been done. Ask Google - it already knows.
