D15B Timing belt.

Default D15B Timing belt.

I need some advice, my D15B Motor keeps on breaking the timing belt. i have changed it 3 times i a span of 5 months what could be the problem

True, how does the Civic crowd get lost here in Accord land? Forums are not even next to each other*shrug*.

DENNO a few things could be causing your belt to snap.
  • Incorrect installation. Too much tension on the belt will put undo wear on it. Timing belts just need the slack taken out, they do not stretch like V or serpentine belts.
  • Failing water pump or tensioner pulley placing stress on the belt causing undo stress.
  • Subpar components, belts/tensioner pulley/waterpump, that are failing cause they are crap.
