You have to hold the pedal to keep it running? Does it bog dow. If you let out?

If so it is engaged and should move your car,

I understand the car not moving because of a bad clutch but it should idle fine especially in neutral

Or if it don't want to run because its bogging down when you hold it, its not disengaged and should move the car, but won't stop without killing it.
