Hey guys, I was just curious as to which wire I need to splice to make my gauges (boost, water temp, oil pressure, etc) illuminate when I turn my lights on. This would be on a 97 del Sol Si. Thanks!

 

You mean when you turn on your parking lights? They should come on with them...

 

No, not my cluster.

I am talking about which power source to tap for my after market gauges. I only want them to illuminate when I turn my head lights on.

 

You can use One of the colored spots in the pic below. I can't remember what one it is but it is easy to find by using a test light and turning on and off the headlight switch.

Now what are those ports that are colored? Do I splice one of the power connections coming to it? I'm sorry, the car is 4 hours away from me right now so I'm just trying to visualize as much as I can.

Get a spade terminal



Then crimp it to the light wire of your gauge.



Put it in one of the spots in the fuse,the spot that turns on and off with the headlight switch.
