My ECU displays a little Red LED in 1 long 14 short blips....

your reading it wrong . it only has short beeps 1-10 .. 1 would be 02 sensor. for it to blink a 14 it would have to have one long and 4 short.

 

It can do 15 short blinks (PG7), and be the ignition output signal. I ran in to that problem when my tach wire basically severed itself and the ECU didn't know WTF the RPM's were.

So, what ECU are you running, and what ill effects on the engine? You sure it's 1 long and 14 short, or 15 short; or 2 seperate codes (1 long, and then another 14 short?)

what ecu is pg7? if it could do 14 short beeps what would the code be?

I have throw code 15 before, so I know it will do 15 short blinks. 14 would be electronic air control.

he has a 91 Si . i dont believe hes throwing a 14. if it was a 14 then you would be right it would be the eacv but then his car would not be holding idle.

 

where can you get codes for ecu's i have the b16a1

 

you could try searching the internet~ i have been told its full of information.

I think you guys are right I have two codes

1 = Oxygen content - Check oxygen sensor and replace if necessary.
14 = Electronic Air Control (EACV) - Check electronic air control valve and replace if necessary.

Where should I buy these parts? How much do you think they would cost?

P.S. The problem is that I put the Gude race package on my car and now the damn thing will not idle. So I think I am reading the codes correctly.

if its o2 sensor try new o2 or check your wiring. as for the eacv hmm .. did anything change ont he inrake manifold?

 

With the gude package I got a whole new Intake manifold that is ported and polished. Now the performance kicks aZZ but the freaken car will not idle. Its real low and then it stalls.

I have to get a new o2 sensor and EACV and put those in. I hope that that fixes the problems because I hate driving this thing when it woln't idle.
