RPM based timing compensation??
When i was going through my log, i noticed that the "actual timing" and "table timing" were off by nearly 10* at 9000rpm. As i looked through Crome, Neptune, and Hondata, I noticed that they all had some sort of table setup to advance timing over what the table timing was based in RPM. Was just curious why this is. I found some guys on the Neptune forum saying that needs to be set to 0 across and just go off of table timing. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Im referring to the last table in this screen shot in Hondata...

I have never played with Hondata so I maybe wrong? But, the RPM Compensation looks like your problem. That being a Trim table I would think 14.75adv@8000rpm is adding that on top of what the Ignition Map is already doing? I'd findout about that table asap. I honestly don't see the point to that other than making your actual Ignition Map more Flat, if thats the case and it's tuned properly you shouldn't have a problem but idk? GL!
Let's face it. These distributors aren't accurate at high RPM and the ECU needs to compensate. I give access to the "Actual timing" output in NepTune so you can see everything the ECU is doing behind the scenes. If you don't understand it, don't mess with it!
