Default d15b8 ???

I've done lots of research with this, So I have a d15b8 in my 97' Honda civic dx... So obd2 car and harness with obd1 engine and ecu. I am going to be putting on a y8 head and wondering if there's anything different I have to do with the dizzy then a normal mini me swap do to the obd2 harness? Not really sure what I'm going with on the ecu setup, remap, different one, ect... Any suggestions???

why not get a full y8 swap? You will not see the benefit in the end at all. full y8's or even the jdm equivalent would run ya like 500-700$ shipped. and its stock. lol

p.s. this belongs in the civic forum anyway. You would get better answers there.

I'm pretty sure it won't work the d15b8 head is a cx eg motor with only 8 valves the d16y8 is a 16 valve engine, they won't have enough valve reliefs on the pistons for the new head.

Ya I've heard some have two valve reliefs and some don't so I will find out soon when I pull it off... I have the y8 head already...

I'm just messing around with my little d15b8... Already have an ex trans and exedy clutch with 8.5lb flywheel and I/h/e along with a/c delete. Couple weight reductions, miner except carbon fiber hood... But that came on the car when I bought it...So now I feel like putting on a y8 head... gonna get it p&p with a slight mill... Just having some fun with it... Might race it at sycamore speedway in IL. But ya was just wondering if my b16a tb will fit/work.
