im looking to do this swap this weekend if at all posible and im woundering if i can use the ecu from the d15b
also can i use the injectors from the d15
and will the harness have to be moded for the obd2 engine to run on a obd1 ecu and harness??
any info would be help full but im thinking that every thing should be fine as is as long as we dont try to go with a obd2 ecu

I'm not 100% sure on all this but it should help a bit.
D15B = OBD1 2pc engine/cabin harness.
D16Y& = OBD2 1 pc engine/cabin harness, diff dist/inj plugs/TB iacv
Use your D15B engine harness on the Y7. Not sure if your D15 dist will fit the Y7 head (bolt pattern) but you should swap that over and your injectors. I believe the D15 uses a 2 wire IACV vs. the 3 wire Y7. That means you should swap your TB too.
Not sure if that is all right but someone else should be able to confirm.

you gotta get the Obd2 dizzy plug, to splice on you dizzy. your gonna have to figure out somthing with your CFS crank fluctuation sensor. the D16Ys have them down on the crank, the obd1 D15s have them in the dizzy. i cant think of any other problems

Why would he put an obd2 dist plug on an obd1 dist, when he has to reuse his obd1 engine harness?

he is saying that i will have to use an obd2 dizzy so i would need the obd2 plut on the obd1 harness (i think that is what he is saying)

I just swapped by d16y7 for a b16 i prob have most of the parts you want including the obd2 dizzy and a plug (you'll have to solder it together but i can help w/ that). Let me know if you need any other parts, right now its just taking up space

In that case, you'll have two wires left over for the crank sensor on the obd1 harness. Just run those to the sensor by the crank pulley.

Re: obd2 engine d16y7 replacing d15b out of a 92 dx sedan (d16_DIM)
took longer then i thought since the motor mounts were messed up but were getting new ones today
the distributer fits fine though the tranny there are no issues with except were picking up a new clutch and fly wheel at the end of this week
also the intake manifold fits fine on the y7 so does the b18tb and the tb postion sensor hooks up fine to the harnness (im new to hondas but i do like this all being universal thing lol)
next up is hunting down a si tranny before this thing gets shoved back in friday night
way off topic but has any one used a dsm 14b on a d before?? does it spool to slow? becouse my buddy got a 20g and im doing his intercooler piping and he is giving me the 14b for free so i figured i might as well throw it on this d since it already has a good headgasket and arp head studs
