Default 1997 civic 1.6 Auto taking on 2500 km road trip

Car seems in good condition , drives well. Recent ally anyway don't think engine has been thrashed and I rarely take it above 3000 RPM To and from work etc. . I've had it for one month now with no problems.

A little abit of hesitation with starting up that's it. Doesn't seem to get up to temperature for a while when driving . In daytime temps of 25c and not much above a 1/4 at night . I've replaced the spark plugs and had the tracking put right.
Full service history came with car , which followed maintainer schedule pretty well.
Cam belt was changed at 140, 000km (90,000 miles ) , not sure about the water pump , I think it was changed also .

Question is should the car be reasonable to drive this distance over about a week with out the cambelt going ? Would be about 262,500 and start of journey.
Thanks for any advice .

You would be suprised how different stop and go driving is compared to highway driving on the engine, I assume you are driving highway at a constant speed without lots of acceleration. You should be fine. As far as the temperature not getting all the way up, your thermostat is probably sticking open and I would be worried about that since cold engine driving can ruin your engine. Replace the thermostat, top up oil and coolant and check tire pressure.

Should be 19301-P08-316 for your model (gasket included)
