So I just got done finishing up my transmission swap(auto EX to manual EX) and I started my car and it won't go in gear. If the clutch is engaged, my speedometer will shoot up to 30+ mph and just sit in my driveway haha. What's going on with it?

Yeah. Kinda confusing haha.

 

im assuming this is with the car in the air still? if so your clutch isnt fully engaging and you need to bleed more. i find when helping push the shift fork in pushing the slave all the way in when the pedal is stuck to the floor helps get all the air out. then tighten it up and let go then rebleed a few more times...

 

Everytime you install/remove a transmission, you have to check the clutch pedal pressure. Bleed the system if necessary.

 

I would double check your axles being seated all the way in.

 

x2, worst case scenario is you forced in the input shaft from the tranny to motor. but more likely the axles. GL

 

Yeah think I'm gonna have to. The passenger on didn't feel like it locked in even though it wouldn't come out.

 

A friend and I bled the clutch line and such and it didn't feel "normal" to me, i.e. not enough resistance if that makes sense.
