Default Depinning A22 when running AEM??

Sup guys, I'm putting my brothers hatch back together and have noticed a strange sputter and miss occurring that I can't tune out... upon looking into the wiring harness I noticed pin A22 was removed because my brother was running AEM EMS, I'm running a chipped P72 so do I need this pin? how critical is it, I see it has something to do with the ICM but the pin and wire are nowhere to be found...

What is the serial number on the side of the AEM EMS?

I don't have AEM anymore. I'm running a chipped P72. My brothers AEM was stolen...

I found a schematic in a factory manual last night, looks like A21 and A22 just tie into one another and the single wire goes to the ICM in the distributor, but for the life of me I still can't see why you would need to depin this for AEM...

repin A22. It can't hurt anything if its supposed to be that way.

Well the reason why i asked for the serial number was to let you know what that specific pin pertained to on whatever AEM unit that was used. I don't know of any Series 2 boxes that would require that be depin, however you may have had a series 1 AEM that could have required a certain designation depending on the vehicle it was used on.

Yes my bro was running an older series one AEM so that explains it, either way I repinned it and tied it in to Pin A21 as per the FSM, haven't gotten to take it for a ride yet so I'm not sure if it cured my problem or not..
