Hey guys i need help on finding out whats wrong with my car. i have a 1992 eg hatch with a 1995 jdm gsr swap. Chipped PO6 and vtec is at 5500 rpm. Recently my cam seals went so i took it to get new cam seals, timing belt, water pump and crank seal. My car was hitting vtec clearly and revving to 8200 rpm effortlessly before i took it for repair. I get the car back today and i drive it and vtec isnt engaging and the car seems to hit a wall once you hit 7k. Its also very hard to hit 7k. Im thinking it could be the timing? or a very tight timing belt? any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Um, you shouldn't even be getting to 7k if VTEC wasn't working. Are you throwing any CELs?

 

Check timing but its probly the oring in the middle cam cap.. Notorious for falling out and if you dont know better.. Make sure everything is plugged in too..
