Default Valve cover installation 96 Civic

I have replaced the seals for the spark plug tubes. Two of the old seals were torn and leaked. I do not want to tear the new ones. Even when everything is carefully lined up it appears like I'll damage the seals as I press the cover into place. Is there a good way to do this? Thanks

If all four are properly seated then that should not be a problem.

Based on my other experiences that's what I thought but the edges of the tubes appear to be deforming the seal - to much. I'll oil them and give it a try.

They shouldn't.
