Default Spark plug seals inside the valve cover

so my spark plug seals are getting old and hard inside my valve cover and i bought some new ones for replacement. i tried to take them out, but it feels like they are stuck onto the metal. any idea or ways to remove them?

Flat head screwdriver and gently pry on them making sure
not to damage the metal on the valve cover.

yes, i'm trying to replace them since i got some new ones from this packet i bought a while ago. the thing is that the center rubber peeled off now i can't seem to get the edges off. any idea how to fix it or is there a shop that can help clean it?

the edge of them is a metal ring, get a very thin bladed screwdriver and small hammer, tap the screwdriver blade between the edge of the seal and the valve cover. dont be too worried about knicking the valve cover a little, after you get the new ones in squarely use a little RTV silicone and lay a small bead on the edge, that will take care of any imperfections.

well, the piece of metal inside the actual seal is VERY thin, and hard to get anything to grab it to pry it, thats why you have to use the screwdriver to bend it away from the valve cover, then pry it out or grab it with a pair of pliers.
