Default Engine swap help

Hey guys, I currently have a 2000 honda civic ex im wanting to Race and do an engine swap, what would be my best bet for an engine swap to get the most power I can possibly get and be pushing lots HP, b18 swap?

Personally I prefer a B18c type r.. but if you say you want to push lots of hp.. maybe B20 NA or go boost.

do some research, look at some of the engine build threads and make a plan on what you want then decide what engine you can afford

Price? Goals? As a general advisement, I would say go B18C1 (GSR) just because of the potential that it has. And it's not crazily expensive, especially if you look for the right deals.

Please search for engine swap options. I feel this thread needs to be posted in the "civic" page of this forum. NOT in all motor.

But the K series swaps are among the most powerful options. If you have a budget, B18c(gsr) is the better bet. Type R swaps are nice, but they are a bit more... The gsr is the better complete swap in the middle.. OR build an b20-Vtec motor. LOTS and LOTS of options. How much money are you willing to spend?
