k so girl i work with is offering me her civic for sale for $2k either way im getting it but wondering if its a real 99 civic si or maybe canadian or just an ex :c completly forgot to get the vin

all i know is its a 5spd red civic says si on the back with a sunroof

like im not arguing just wondering why you say that, cause doesnt the canadian si have the us ex cluster?

I thought si's in that yr only came with a b series motor?

 

Not in Canada. The VIN will reveal all.

 

Canadian si's have a chrome badge, not red like the usdm si and cdm sir.

it is not an em1 because:

gauge cluster
grille
unpainted side skirts
no studs for strut bar on the shock towers
no leather wrap on the steering wheel

someone either threw on an si badge, or swapped trunk lids. the front bumper has been repainted so I assume it was in an accident at some point.

 

Do not buy this car. It has 6 owners and has been in three accidents and has flood damage. I just ran the carfax. It is a 1999 Honda Civic EX. This is the worst carfax I have ever seen on any vehicle.

It is a branded title salvaged then rebuilt..

in canada the si is the same as the US EX. its a single cam, nothing special. if you want the equivilent of our SI, you need to get the SI-R

 

That's not worth 2K especialy with a carfax like that i'd offer 1.2K no more

 

 

How the **** are people finding the Carfax without the VIN, or at least current owner information?
