Hi everyone,

Some days ago I cleaned the Throttle Body, it was pretty dirty. I sprayed Carb cleaner everywhere in the intake. Practically to all holes but the coolant ones.

I tried yesterday to remove the IACV and cleaned it. Its a bit better but my car isnt going back to 700rpm when moving, it stays in 1200-1300 and goes back to 700rpm when the car comes to a complete stop.

Just in case its a 5 speed manual. I really dont know what could be the issue.

Exactly this happens when in neutral at any speed BUT 0 mph

 

why would you be popping the car into neutral while you drive?

 

Maybe he's coasting down a hill? I do it all the time to save gas.

JIC You dont save any gas while puting your car in neutral, you waste NO gas if you leave your car in gear until 1200 rpm, since the fuel cuts off. By letting it in neutral you are wasting gas to maintain the car idling.

It just feels its not normal. Before If I let the car in neutral it will go back to 700rpm right away and stay there while moving now it doesnt. That feels a bit weird.

This is serious. It also increased my idling rpm which is at 1000 rpm. I know it should be at 700rpm as before.

 

This has been fixed a while a go. I think it got better when I used a IACV valve brand new gasket.
