Took it to a garage that does smogs in town.. The car i bought didnt pass somg! He said it wouldnt pass because the check engine lights on, the intake was for a different car, no cat and the headers didnt the carb sticker on it.
He gave me a number for a bar ref but he thinks it still wont pass.
Any ideas or advice in how to pass a smg with what ive got? or know anyone? LOL
Thanks!

I assume you live in Cali ? can you not find someone who will pass you under the table(flash them some cash). There are places like that where I am im sure you can find one if you don't want the hastle of passing legitly
Yeah, you repair as needed/indicated. Or you find someone that will overlook visual but I'm guessing you're in CA since you stated "CARB" sticker. You'll more or less fail anyway without a catalytic convertor.

im sure there are TONS of tuning shops in cali you could go to one and ask. Im 100% sure you're not the only one running w/o a cat or other emmisions components. That's what I did and we have pretty strict rules for emmisons In Ontario(Canada). Not cat or evap system for me.

Ontario does not have strict emissions rules from what I recall. Plug into the scanner and check for codes and see if all the readiness monitors have been set. California on the other hand has absolutely ridiculous rules.
Our rules got updated my car WAS safe from testing(almost 20 y/o) but nope now i'll have to get it etested till it dies....as of jan 1st 2013
Yes, but the rules a pretty lenient compared to California's, not great, but it could be worse. Luckily we still have nothing here.
I live in Ontario and the emissions aren't that strict..
If you can't pass, go to Brampton. Someone would be happy to be bought off for a clean sheet...
Christ, back home up north we don't even have it..

well strict in the sense that my 19 y/o car should/would have been exempt but no they had to change it.

i would honestly just go get what you need done. go get the a cat (like 40$) go to your local junk yard and grab a set of headers of another honda and the intake shouldnt matter. switch everything out real quick get the check engine light turned off and go get it smogged yo. and once your done switch everything back
