Default Another coilover question

I'm new to the forum and i know this has been talked about like crazy, I've been reading through forums for about a week and haven't really found the answer I'm looking for so here it goes,

I've got a 97 civic I'm wanting to buy coil-overs for, my budget is 1500, what are the best quality coil-overs i can get for somewhere under that price. I was planning on going with tein flex until i started researching and found most don't care for them also they don't seem to go as low as I'm wanting.

My car as it sits now, never mind the hub caps but im wanting it about 2 inches lower than this.

Im trying to reduce some of this gap with the new wheels i will be running.

So what coil-overs could i buy that are of good quality will do good at the weekend auto X and will lower the car more then it sits now. everything I've read keeps coming back to koni/GC, and if that is the best then i will go with that but i kinda find it hard to believe that a strut sleeve kit is better then most coil-overs.
Anyone with some useful or helpful input please let me know what you think, thank you.

Believe it or not, the Koni/GC combo is better built than most coilovers in that price range. Don't let the fact that they are a sleeve design affect your decision. It simply means that GC elected not to partner with Koni for an integrated approach (like KW has done in the past). My only gripe with GC is that they don't come with a helper spring to maintain position at full droop.

Component systems are much easier to manage should you ever have a warranty claim. Koni will send you a replacement prior to sending the old one back for warranty inspection. Or use your OEM springs with Koni while GC warranties your coilover. GL.

Well still been researching, and looking at peoples reviews with not much luck. but was contacted by Andy@AMR, been searching like mad for anything i can find that people have to say about them. not yet come across anyone that has said anything bad about them, they certainly look like amazing quality pieces so i will be placing an order for a set as soon as they get back with me.

No risk here, we have had a lifetime warranty since day 1, and I can say that in that same time which has been 8 years now we have never had 1 single blown production damper. I believe our reliability is proven. Our setups are made to order, and we deal with all our clients one on one to build them a system to best suit their desired needs. We have clients from all forms of motorsports that we cater to, and clients with a variety of needs. You will be very hard pressed to find an unhappy client of ours. As the owner of AMR Engineering, I can tell you with confidence you are in good hands. I personally have been a member of this site for over 10 years, and my companies have always sponsored, and been involved with this forum. We wouldn't be around today, and continue to grow at our current pace if we did not offer both value, and quality to our clients.

Thank you for your order "DO-WORK-SON" and your prompt payment. You have been a pleasure to deal with, and we will proceed to putting any parts aside for your order that we may have already finished, and proceed to get any remaining parts made.
