98 civic hatch/jdm GSR b18c swap/OBD2a P72 ECU - Help with Evap Purge!
after going through threads that are years and years old and understanding how the system works i dont get how to either by pass or repair it.
I have a 98 civic hatch with a jdm GSR b18c engine swap. it ran without this code (code 92) for nearly a year i replaced the solenoid but with a used one and still get the code. its winter here maybe I should bring it inside over night.
anyway is there something i can do to totally trick the OEM P72 OBD2a ecu? or anything im missing here? I took the second EVAP solenoid of a D series EK from the yard.
my next step is cut the harness and use the clip off another car, try another or a new solenoid, or find a way to bypass it.
the reason its important is because my emission standards check that this is functioning and will fail / be off the road with no insurance unless this is fixed!
please help
