b16 d16z6
hey guys. im new to this site and want to expand my knowledge on civics and diy things i can do to get the most out of my civic! well first off im looking for a b16 full swap or a d16z6 long block. im currently deployed and dont come back for leave til around june so would have to work something out. i have a shop that it can be shipped too asap though. appreciate the help!
well im not looking to go ***** deep into this. maybe just around 200 hp. so would it be best to go b series and upgrade from there or a z6 and turbo it? i have a d15 right now. also my spending limit would be around 4 g's on this project.
Best is a relative term. What do you know about swaps and turbocharging cars? The latter is waaaay more involved than one would think and if you half-*** it a lot of serious stuff can go wrong.
Read the go fast link in my sig.

well i know if i go b series i need a tranny mounts and i remember someone recommending doing a rear disc brake conversion. i know you cant just buy a turbo and then just neglect it. has to be tuned every so often and get a turbo timer and intercooler and all that stuff. i honestly just know the basics. but okay will do ! appreciate it man

Not a lot of demand and perceived stigma with them not based in reality. If you can swing it get an H2D kit to make it bolt in. That would be the route I'd take. Otherwise a lot of hacking is involved. Having owned a Prelude I can tell you that they can get those heavy chassis to move. I always imagined what one would do in a Civic. Even the H23.
