Default ABS Brakes

I removed the ABS module on my 96 Accord V6 while trying to figure out why the ABS light is on (code 1). I've put it back in, but can't seem to get the system bled properly. While bleeding, I've got a good firm pedal. As soon as the car is started, the pedal goes soft.

When I open the bleeder valve on the ABS, I get nothing. No air. No fluid. Same as before I took the ABS off.

Is there anything special I need to do to bleed the system after removing the ABS?

If you are bleeding the abs.....why are you using the pedal?

my best guess is that there is air in the lines between master and modulator which contains prop valves , that's why he needs to pump the pedal to get the air out from there before pressuring the abs system
