AEM EMS or hondata ?
I know this EMS is pretty new and not a lot of info on that is why i'm trying to get most of the info so i can firgure out what i'm going with. Put this into your perspective when looking at these two system:
hp and tor gain, money, easy to use and tune.
This is what i have in the car:
CAI/ E/ V-AFC/ AEM pullies/ Crower strage 2/ Skunk 2 cam gears
This is later once money comes in and then the system:
P&P/ valve& retainer/ NOS 50-75
So let me know what you think b/c i'm looking at EMS and hondata stage 4 i think, another thing is that the car is 2001 Prelude which is OBD2 i'm leaning forward EMS b/c i don't have to swap out to OBD 1, less money there.

The TEC 3 does direct fire only. Even if you wanted to stick with the stock distributor you couldn't. 4 programmable outputs. Modified crank trigger wheel required and distributor block off (unless you're going sequential). Additional GM sensors required. No thanks. The TEC3 is a basic standalone with limited options and ability.
AEM (or most other standalones) you can use the stock distributor, dual post coils, or even individual coils if you want. Stock trigger (which are crank mounted as well on OBD2 cars for the same accuracy). More options, same price.

i can get you both and i have installed and tuned both, i like the AEM better, and another thing the guys at Electromotive are a bunch of asses, they never want to help anyone and when you ask them a question that any tuner manufacturer shold know they play dumb. Actually i dont think there playing. But if you just want to adjust spark and fuel then E-Manage is cheap and easy. By the way you wont need the vafc with any of these systems.

If you plan on learning the system yourself, you want much more adjustability, function, and you regularly do modification that would require retuning the AEM is for you. Be prepared to be overwhelmed by the options and technical knowledge that is required to try to tune the AEM yourself. It takes alot of fiddling and experimentation.
If you want someone else to do the tuning for you, you don't care about working on the car yourself, you don't regularly change your modifications that would require retuning, and you just want it to work well with minimum hassle, I would get the s200. If you're going so far to buy the chip burner and tuning software for the s200, you might as well get another standalone.
