Newly built b18 block - turn over by hand, not quite right? - video.
Hi everyone, hoping someone can take a look at this video and see whats what.
The block was freshly built 3/4 weeks ago however today after installing the cambelt ive noticed that the crank isnt turning over to perfection, seems to have a 'lump'
The lump is obviously where the blue tape is, to overcome this whilst turning i give around 10% more pressure to the rachet.
Was wondering if it would be anything to worry about? Other than this flat spot the crank takes 10-12nm to turn over.

I always thought it was a good sign when you hit a tough spot in the rotation assuming everything else is in order. Good Compression = Mucho Bueno.
The spark plugs are in.
Timing is 100% correct.
The spec is a low compression b18c4 block with a p72 integra type r head.
It's defiantly not a compression kind of feel - its more of a 'notch'
