Default 93 del sol s weight reduction

Hey guys, looking to do some weight reduction on my 93 del sol s. I got the car last month for $400 so i really dont care about it. Im going h2b, im keeping the block stock so i really need to shed some lbs. Some things im going to be doing is.

-Strip entire trunk
-remove carpet, all sound deadening material(dry ice)
-a/c, powersteering
-Lighter wheels
-Gutting out the dash

Anything else im forgetting, i was looking to remove the back window and replace with lexan but couldnt find anything.

You are not going to really be able to make a huge weight reduction with the del sol...Its just so damn heavy because of how Honda tried to strengthen the chassis (which didn't really work)

I don't think you have power steering.

You can pull out your heater, do CF body pieces, and I guess have some custom speed glass (lexan covered with a thin sheet of glass), racing seats....etc...

good luck though, I don't think it will make much of a difference

no point unless you race it. why do you need to shed weight?

Of course im going to be racing it, im building a h23a blue top right now. hoping for 220whp. And the del sol S apparently weighs 2300, its not as light as a hatch but certainly light in my book. Theres some weight in the trunk of a del sol, four shocks, roof supports, spare tire jack ect. not to mention the lid has skeleton just like a hood, sound deadening, racing seats, gutting the dashboard removing a/c power steering. my goal is 200lbs you dont think thats possible?

If you dont care about it cut the roof off. Ditch everything unnecessary. Strip it to the bare minimum. Only the drivers seat. Dont forget all the carbon fiber and the $$$ youll need to make it lighter.

doors, front fenders, bumpers, headlights, windshield, rear glass, tail lights, roof, seat(s), steering wheel (use a vice-grip), airbag stuff, dashboard, dash and all unnecessary wiring, heater, hood, trunk lid, cut off unnecessary body panels. should look great.
