Default Sc61 vs holset h1c

I have a precision sc61 and a holset h1c with a 70a/r bep housing for my build. The goal is to build a street car that I can occasionally drag and track if I wanted to. So I'm looking for a decent powerband. Which turbo is better for my application?

JDM gsr
Itr cams
Precision 1000's
E85
Skunk2 Im
70mm TB
Ptah log or spoolin mini ram
Cx racing intercooler and piping
Gsr cable trans with LSD.

I'm looking for stout numbers and a good power band.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Give a power number.... we can't tell you anything until you decide on a number

And for a street car both will be overly laggy with a **** power band

I see.

Well I was looking at around 350hp and as much torque as possible. 280tq would be ideal.

Both are totally over kill for 350hp

You could make 350 with a gt2860 at its limit, or a 2871 or 3071 or 3076

You need a much smaller turbo

the big h1c at 48-49lb/min puts it at the same point as a 50-trim The small bep housing is all that's needed to get the most from the compressor and the spool speed is 20+psi by 3500rpms. Harder to integrate into most kits, but definitely possible.

The SC61 is just too large a turbo for what you're trying to do here. you're better off selling that and using the money towards a nice set of rods and pistons.
