Default Car surges when hooked to mpx4250ap sensor?!

I have a turbo B18 swapped hatch, car idles high and surges after start up but if I pull the vacuum on the mpx4250ap sensor it quits and idles fine, maybe it's hooked to the wrong vacuum port? Not sure. The car has did fine up to this point and now all of a sudden it's acting up, any help would be greatly appreciated!

what are you feeding the signal from that MAP sensor to? i have never heard of any use of it outside of Megasquirt application.

I bought the car this way but they seem to have it tied in to the factory harness but with it unhooked and drive the car it will go lean.

Is a stock MAP sensor going to work with the boost? Or the way they have it tuned?

Get a proper Hondata or OMNI 4bar MAP and call it a day. They are factory replacement, bolt right in place of the stock one (depending on application) and use the factory harness connector.

It has been my understanding that Honda uses a 1.5 BAR MAP factory. Using a 2 Bar or even 4 BAR would skew the resolution to the point that the ECU cannot make heads or tails of the signal. One of the tricks used in other hobby arenas is to use the aftermarket MAP for your aftermarket electronics, use a factory MAP for the ECU, and put a 4.7 volt zener diode across the signal to limit what the ECU sees. Since Honda uses a 1.5 BAR MAP, it might need a 3.3 volt version (Digi-Key PN 568-5812-2-ND).

Hope this helps,

Mike

i think you have a can of worms with this car, and it is being opened.
do you know what sort of engine management does the car use?
