anyone out there that got a universal muffler , planning on getting a angle cut, that got custom piping and that its deep, i'm just trying to save money from buying a 500 dollar cat back, thats for your guys help, if you have pics or sound clips i like to check them out

 

i just got 2.25" custom piping installed with an es oval muffler and a resonator. I'd definantely recomend the Es oval make sure u get a resonator though

 

i have a street series magnaflow and 2.25" piping after the stock resonator. sounds great

My pick is the AC Revolution Battle Advantage slant-tip muffler. I LOVE mine. I don't like the Magnaflow canister mufflers. My friend has one on his 1.5L hatch and it's very loud. Another friend has two of them on his 1998 Pontiac Grand Am GT (bleh), and it's very tinny and it buzzes really bad when it's cold. This could just be a Pontiac thing though. I saw an advertisement with Mario Andretti on it holding one of those mufflers. Pfth, I'm not paying for Mario Andretti!

Anyway, I've had this muffler for over a year and it's been great. No complaints from me, and everybody loves the sound. It's held up perfectly also. And it's affordable! Check it out.

what does your revolution sound like? is it loud enought to hear and turn heads??? at low rpms and high rpms

 

Here is Magnaflow 4x9 Muff. It's 2.5" w/ resonator and Carsound Cat. Its sounds relatively deep and quiet. It's not that loud in my gutted car, and friends say its pretty low and and quiet until VTEC. I definitely like it (except for the off-center pipe), you'd be surprised how many people ask if its just stock muffler on there.

I have an OBX b5 bomb with a vibrant resonator and no cat. I love the sound. It doesn't get buzzy and the sound is real deep. The muffler was $80 and the resonator was $50.

Yeah, it's definately loud enough to turn heads and hear a mile away at full throttle (literally)... my header made it louder though.

I got my second ticket for "loud exhaust" the other day

I take them as compliments.

 

i have basically the same setup w/o a resonator and its really deep. nowhere near annoying....its basically just right.....it just gets really deep if you get on it.

 

I got an OBX exhaust the B3 series. I like it alot. Doesnt sound like a fricken fart can and it has a nice deep tone to it. Who cares if its madd bootleg? Atleast it sounds nice and doesnt sound like a fart can mang!

I have a Nakayama muffler with 2.25" piping and dc headers, and gutted out Cat. And my **** sounds to loud and buzzes. Should I just put on a stock cat again or get new exhaust setup
