Default Radiator fitment issues

Hey guys so I just got a new spectra premium radiiator to drop in the lude but im having some issues making it fit properly. The fans are not fitting were they are supposed to on the new radiator. This could be because the car is originally an si model but the guy i bought it from swapped it to an H22 motor which is why i bought the vtec model radiator from autozone. Is there a difference in size in the fans compared to an Si model. Any advice would help guys

So by now i have figured out that there is indeed a problem with the fitment of the fans. From what ive been reading, the Si fans will not mount properly on to the vtec radiator so now I have to find stock H22 fans. Now to the other issue, are the transmission coolant lines not supposed to connect to the radiator??? If so what the hell is cooling my tranny oil. The guy who swapped the engines before me was a lazy bitch and didnt do anything right. Help me guys

Is it a automatic? If it's a 5 speed there isn't any cooling going on for the trans oil.

I would just buy some of those "zip mounts" for radiator fans ( http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant...gory_Code=RADI ) and use them or fab up a simple sheet metal adapter bracket. You could also just run after market fans, probably cheaper and more reliable than finding/using old vtec fans.

The car is a stick shift so what happens then, and I think I might buy some of the fans from ebay. Anybody know if the radiator fans from ebay are legit???

No coolers on manuals dude. So don't look for one lol.

Don't buy eBay fans. Get a spal or something or stick with Oem like you said.

Cool thanks for the response man, I bought a ziptie mounting kit from autozone but i feel pretty iffy about installing the fans that way. I think im just goimg to find someone who is parting out there lude and get ****** some up. Also, do you know if there are any fitment issues, my brother tried replacing the radiator when I was at work and said it dorsnt fit properly.

All the rads should be the same as far as I know.... the ziptie kits seem cheap but they actually work well for what they are. I ran some for a while before I had a shrouded fan.

My guess is the rad you bought isn't exactly the right size..... may have to do some modifications to make it fit properly.

Dumb question but I was going to ziptie the stock h23 fans (with the shroud) onto the radiator, Is that something you can only do with aftermarket fans that do not have a shroud or is it still safe to do with the stock fans (that come with a shroud).

So i decided not to ziptie the fans and get stock used ones instead but i cant find them anywhere. So frustrating. Do you guys now if the radiator from the vtec accord is the same??
