Rear control arm bushing replacement
Took my car in for some servicing and the mechanic said that I needed to replace my rear brake pads, and the rear control arm bushings are cracked. For the bushing can I just buy the bushing or do I have to replace the whole control arm? Any good websites that people have dealt with, where the parts are good and affordable? Thanks
It depends. I have seen it both ways. It seems like the few cars that I have worked on that vw/bmw/volvo replace the whole control arm in the front. Granted I have not worked on every vw/audi/bmw. The few Honda control arms I did in the back, I replaced just the bushing. Call the dealer/rockauto and see what your options are.
If you have to press the bushing in/out I would probably just take it to a shop. That can be a huge PITA.

Do you know the exact bushing? It might be an easy fix. The Accord is a little different than others.
