1991 Honda civic not starting all the way help
Hello everyone and merry Christmas ,
So I have an 91 civic that gets used most of the time by my wife but for the last 3 days we haven't started it, it usually gets started everyday but we've been busy and have been usin my other vehicle together , so we live in Alberta and its freezing out right now and our apartment parking doesn't have energized stalls to plug in the car an have only one underground stall that my car uses. So I go to start it today and it turns on everything with lights( has new battery) and when I crank it it keeps whining and doesn't turn over , I try even having my foot half way on the gas while starting and same thing nothong just a bunch of noise so I don't crank it for to long don't wanna fry my starter. I put gas line antifreeze in it and nothing still after couple attempts so I ended up getting my bud to pull it out with his truck and push it down in the heated parkade to warm up for awhile. 5 hours later I go see it looks warmed up , warm inside..give it a try and same thing doesn't wanna turn over.. What can't be the problem?? Relay gone? Fuel pump? Has anyone ever have this happen to them? I'm praying tomorrow morning it will turn on Christmas Day just fore but I highly doubt it, please help if you had this happen before I know she said a couple days before she was getting some shaking from the car while driving , ( the alternator belt and battery is brand new and oil is fairly new as well, just so you know) any input would be great I'm not really mechanically skilled to work on this car I rather not and don't have the tools
Please help and merry Xmas!

Went down this morning car is warm still not turning all the way over checked my starter relay fuse and it looks fine , is there a fuel pump relay fuse anywhere?? Can it possibly be my fuel pump gone? Help
what do you mean not turning over all the way? like dead battery? fid you check to see if battery is showing low voltage? in that cold its tough on a battery regardless of voltage. if the battery is good and charged but turns over slow its probably your starter. hard to tell not knowibg really what its doing.

cold sucks the life out of a battery. Have you tried to jump it from your working car.
Car needs only a spark, air, and fuel to run. try the easiest things first and then go to the hard. If you turn the car on you should hear the fuel pump priming if that is occuring no real reason to check.

Car is very warm parked underground now and the battery is fine cause car turns on every time it's brand new as well, once I try starting it its cranks over for awhile but doesn't fire up I imagine its the starter or fuel pump just don't know which one. Does anyone know where the fuse for the water pump is so I can check if that's wrecked maybe swap it with another and see if it fired up. Ahh so frustrating

if its turning over good just not starting its likely a fuel issue. quickest easiest way to check is just crank it and have soneone else give it a squirt of starting fluid, if it starts for a second you are not getting fuel, if it doesnt you are not getting spark. since you said you are not mechanically inclined you spray the starting fluid into the air intake tube and not a lot just a quick spray should do it.

your fuel pump is under the back seat have ur wife turn the key while u put your ear in the back seat ull hear the pump wind up. try jump statring ot push satrting it hehe
okay look up on youtube how fix main relay! great links and after ur sure its good then check for fuel! disconnect the inlet line to fuel filter turn key on n fuel should dump out and check for ecu codes!
