Is there room for two mufflers under an EK Civic?
In preferably a single pipe exhaust setup. I imagine if I split my pipe into a dual exhaust there is room on both sides for a muffler but that's not really the look I'm shooting for because I want a very stock look.
Of course my goal is a quiet exhaust setup without spending $200+ for a stupid muffler for a commuter car that's not choked out of power due to an overly restrictive muffler.

Seriously, does anyone have any constructive answers for me? Preferably someone who has done it or tried it?
Thanks,
Jason
The only reason I'm half way considering a dual exhaust is that the guy that does welding at the exhaust shop has an ek Civic and he has dual exhaust with very small pipes and it so inconspicuous it doesn't look bad.
I called the muffler shop that had it on the lift and spoke to the guy that had the dual exhaust. He said there was no room for mufflers any where else but the back of the car and he also said he had two mufflers and two resonators per pipe.

So you already knew the answer to this question? You know the guy that has it done and you're asking us if it can be done and not asking him how he did it?...why?
back in the fast and furious days, i had a 98 and a 95 coupe with dual exhaust.........its possible....I wouldnt do it again, but hey, its your car. If you like it, thats all that matters bro. who cares what others think
Um no he has dual exhaust I want inline mufflers...dual was tempting at the time of this post but that temptation has past with some extra thought plus I don't think it would help quiet my exhaust.
why not get your exhuast on and go from there.. this is the 3rd or 4th exhaust question in a month.
your not going to know how good/bad it sounds until you try it. since you want to use what you got is understandable. but we cant answer these questions just cuz your not using the tried and true method.
So weld it up and see what happens, then either keep it or change for whats proven to work.
