hey guys i have a f22b1 motor boosted on 10 pounds i had the car tuned on a 3in open down pipe i recently added a 3inch full exhaust no cat or resonator. the car do not pull as hard anymore it feel really resticted. can it be my muffler or i need the car retuned for the exhaust? what is it. also the exhaust is very quiet, sound like stock..seems not right. help me out

 

With a full exhaust, the car will just not feel the same period. How much of a difference are you talking about here btw?

 

low end feels great, top end is terrible it fells very restricted

LOL. . . When I saw the title I thought this might be one of those "I switched from stock exhaust to 3" and it doesn't pull" threads, but instead it's this. This seems like a pretty predictable outcome from adding an exhaust.

 

its a muffler that came with the car rective straight its not a turbo muffler tho

how big is the inlet/outlet for the muffler?

Anyways yea my car is running 3in dp with a full 3in exhaust. i also noticed that the muffler inlet that was on my car was only 2in, so i just left the exhaust shop and had them just cut the muffler off for now til i get a turbo muffler. the result was alot better it pulled alot smoother. also took a look at my boost gauge and i notice i lost like a 1-1.5psi of boost just from installing my exhaust.

 

Turn the boost back up! The back pressure from installing the exhaust is routing more exhaust out the wastegate.

bwahahahaha. WOW!!! you have a 474hp car? so how do I stop all the exhaust back pressure from going out of my wastegate causing me to lose powa?
