what is your opinion on the best coolant to use for a b16 engine?

 

honda type II blue mixed 50/50 with DI water if you want to be cool...

or any decent Ethylene Glycol-Based (Green) Antifreeze mixed 50/50 with DI water.

I prefer Honda coolant because it's specially formulated for Honda/Acura engines.

And no need to mix Honda Type 2 coolant, it already comes diluted if you read the container label.

I use Prestone.

Some fluids Honda ONLY, antifreeze isn't one.

This!!! I like something already mixed so all I have to do is poor it in.

 

Anything but prestone (And the automotive stores housebrands that are the same as prestone; the additives in there rot your radiator out) I personally like peak. But basicly as long as your radiator is clear and your heater not gummed up, most will work.

 

I sure as hell hope you have proof of that, because i'm calling bullshit.


All our cars get Prestone, and it's been that way forever. We've yet to have any issues what so ever.
