d15b vtec in 97 hatch

I am selling my JDM d15 VTEC to a friend that has a 97 base model hatch I know it will fit but what computer should he use? I I have a p28 that I could sell him will that work?

Which d15b? Three stage or two stage VTEC?

Not the three stage just the regular d15b VTEC it came out of my 89 hatch so I'm not sure what to do in a newer car
