Engine Misfiring?
The other day the clutch in my 97 teg got really spongy, then eventually lost all return pressure and stayed on the floor. I suspected it was the slave cylinder, since I replaced the master clutch almost a year ago. Its been sitting for two days now and I went out to see if I could drive it without the clutch to the shop I work at, I turned it over and the engine jumped forward and slowly died. I also smelled some smoke.
It was in neutral when this happened and now when I try to start it, it basically does this half *** crank, and seems to be flooded or something. I waited a few min. and tried it again. It started, but ran really weird, almost like it was misfiring in two of the cylinders.
Anybody have any ideas of what this could be?

For your clutch, bleed the clutch lines and then drive it.
For the starting, since it lunged forward in such a manner you should just look under the hood and check for loose connections, especially at the distributor. Make sure your grounds are all intact as well.

So I just went out and tried starting it..it starts, but still doesn't idle like it should. It idles rough and chokes itself out every few seconds. It also smells like gas pretty bad and makes a spitting noise somewhere around the intake.
