I have a 95 Civic Ex with a D16Z6 and it is turbo with a T25 DSM turbo at 8 psi. It is idling strange. It idles at 1500 and pulses slightly, in first and second gear, if i don't keep it at high RPMs it jerks back and forth pretty hard. I have searched all over this sight trying to figure this out. I have replaced the MAP and TPS sensors, cleaned the throttle body, and it was still running strange. I checked the ECU codes and it is throwing a 14 which is an IACV code, so i pulled that off my 97 civic, which i was building (hence my user name) but it got hit...so i took of the IACV and put it on and the 95 and it is still throwing the code. The weird part is, that it stops pulsing and stays at a steady 1500 when the radiator fan kicks on. I've tried everything i can think of. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

Might sound silly, but when you replaced the tps, did you set it to the correct voltage?

 

I was gonna check that but i need to go buy a meter. I'll do that.

 

I believe it should read .5 closed, and 4.5 while throttle is completely open. The meters run pretty cheap at autozone (i picked one up for $15).

 

Ok. What wires do i check on it. I can't remember.

 

You check the wire that runs in the middle to the tps of the three that are there. Hope it fixes your issue man.

 

It reads .3 Closed and 4.2 Open.
