Hey Honda Tech guys my Engine light recently went on. my oil level is above the last second dot, so its a little bit low on oil. So is that the cause of the engine light or something else?

 

Have the car scanned, they'll tell you what the codes are.

 

that was the plan--to go get it scanned.
but i was just driving the car just a bit ago, and the light turned off just as i was coming home.
so my engine light was on for an entire day, and it's now off. i don't know what to make of this. S:

 

Still get it scanned, to see if the code is still stored in the system.

 

it just went off by it self.

 

That doesn't mean that the code just disappeared. It just means that the code is not prevalent at the current time. It could still be stored in the ECU.

 

I've seen frayed O2 wires cause an engine light to come on and go off every time it shorted on something. You will have to get it scanned.

 

I was going to say make sure your gas cap is on tight turn it at least 5 times air can get in there.
