First I had a problem winding up and down the windows from the driver's side. So I ordered the Windows Master Switch (still in the mail). I touched some metal contacts together on the old master switch in an attempt to wind the windows up becuase its going to snow then smoke came out, the board burnt. I am getting a new Window Master Switch so I am not worried about that part. Now the car will not shift out of park and the console lights will not turn on. The brake lights work, I can drive if i take a screw driver and press down the slot thing. What do I do to fix the lights and shifter problem. It is a 2003 Honda Accord with Automatix transmisison and V6 engine.

I checked all the fuses in the drivers side panel and under the hood, they are all good. the turn signals do not work, i dont hear clicking when i turn them on

 

Check the small lights fuse on the passenger side. I had that happen to me before and it would not shift out of park as well.

 

As asked before, do the backup/reverse lights work? Yes, no....and the additional info (shorting out the board) would have helped in your other posts.

 

thanks for all the input, ive been posting on two or three forums, it is a lg meter fuse. I dont know how i tested it good the first time. most likely the multimeter ends were touching to make a circuit. I replaced the 7.5 amp fuse and the dashlights came back on as well as being able to shift gears. Also replaced the master window switch. $206 at a dealer but when you cant wait another day you have to do it. The passengers window still does not wind down. and the clicker does not work.
