Ati Damper Question H22
I have been trying to figure out what pulley to run on my ati race damper part number: 918469. I thought that this came with a pulley so that you could run your alternator. I called ati and they said in order to run an alternator with this damper I had to use a big block chevy pulley because of the 3 bolt accessory pulley style I have attached a picture if anyone can tell me what pulley part number or something like that to run that would be great as I can cross reference it at work(work at parts store). I am sort of lost at this point because I don't want to under-drive the alternator to much.
Ok, I guess my next question is how do I choose the correct diameter accessory pulley? If I go to small it will be under driven too much wont it? There are no electronics in the vehicle besides the fuel pumps, head lights, ecu, gauges, and dash lights. Or am i just over thinking this?
Ur pulley looks like it's for a bseries not a h22!! The h22 use the alternator belt where ur has the timing mark and the small pulley that u could attach to its for the power stearing pump just notice but I do have the pulley for if u want to try it

Fml well I will double check the part number tonight when I get out of class. This is the "race version that is listed on ati website for the h22...ati said that the street version was the one with the belt where the timing marks are argh...can't send it back I no longer have the box

Thanks Innes, I gave you a call they said they didn't know where you were at the moment. I left my name and phone number. I checked and I did get the correct one and as long as I can get a pulley this one should work great! Thanks for the pulley as well.

Okay, just in case anyone in the future ever gets a race ati damper for the h22 it does NOT have a pulley for alternator so in order to run the alternator you have to use the power steering pulley that ati supplies with there street version. I am going to test it here in the next couple of days to make sure that it doesn't under drive the alternator too much. I am really surprised that this has never popped up before. Ill report back to make sure that it works here in a couple days.
Update: I received the power steering pulley from innes, this pulley should work no problem at all for anyone that purchases the h22 race damper. I have measured the pulley that I got and it is the same size as the factory h22 crank pulley. The part number on the box is 916338. The h22 race damper has no means of driving any accessory not even the alternator without this pulley!
Well I tested the power steering pulley idea innes suggested, it doesn't work, after getting the timing set and the alternator on the civic it just flat out not possible to run an alternator with the race damper. Argh now I am about 500 dollars fml
The problem is the ati race damper for the h22 doesn't have a pulley for an alternator. The street version has a spot for the alternator where the timing marks are on the race version. I tried using the power steering pulley from the street ati damper on the race damper bc the pulley can bolt to the center part of the race damper. The only problem is when you do this the alternator and ati damper do not line up at all. The ati damper sticks out about two inch farther than the alternator pulley so this makes it unable to line up the alternator pulley and the pulley I bolted on the damper. I hope that explains it.
