So I have a stock eg hatch that isnt running and it is time to swap it...but it still has 13's, drum brakes, I mean completely bone stock...But I dont want to buy an engine from overseas just from some stuff I have had to deal with on previous cars with smoking motors and missing pieces...anyway on to the good stuff...I found a 94 ls teggie that someone swapped in a b16a1...is this motor worth swapping into the hatch...and of course im goin to pull off the suspension and rear brakes but im mostly concerned about the motor swap...the car is 2500.

Why wouldnt it be worth swapping in?
More hp than a D15 or D16
Swaps for this engine are easy as long as you do it right and dont chop up a harness like most monkeys do.
Mounts, harness, axels, shift linkage,exhaust, ECU,ENG and Tranny.
Straight forward.
Depending where you live there could be emissions requirements.

I would go for it, ofcourse try to get it for less though.

Take the front and rear breaks from the integra. It would be an upgrade from the stock brakes, also sway bars.

 

Can you afford it? If so, then it is worth it.

Why are you asking questions that can only be answered by you?

 

Responses like this are annoying. If you do the swap correctly, it will definitely be worth it. Plus you get upgraded brakes and suspension from the teg. Then sell the integra shell to recoup some of your $$.

 

Questions that are about personal preferences are annoying.

 

Where is the tech??? Go to the value thread if you want opinions on what something is worth!!! If you have a vx like I suspect, I would advise fixing and selling!!! A vx is a car I would consider rare in stock form!
