gsr swap in eg hatch
Hey guys, Ive got a question/s for you all.
My friends 94 gsr decided to marry itself to a stone block highway barrier. The front end was caved in but the engine is salvagable and everything from firewall to the back.
question is, he bought a eg hatch shell, and he wants to swap out the motor into that shell.
A. Could the stock motor mounts be used to do this swap or would some hasport stuff have to be purchased?
B. Can the gsr gage cluster be used on the eg hatch?
C. To do the swap, would it only take swapping out the ecu's or would the whole wiring harness have to be swapped?
D. Difficulty of swaping out gsr brakes on the a eg hatch?
E. the gsr seats bolt right into a eg hatch?
A faq or somethign of rather of the sort for swappign this motor out would be appreeciated. THank you for any comments.

A. the engine bays are basically the same.
B. IDK
C. You can use either harness, the GSR would probably be easier.
D. Just the discs (on 1-10 scale) 4, BB + MC + PV + Discs 7.

Re: gsr swap in eg hatch (ITSME4G63)
A. Stock Teg mounts works perfectly.
B. yes, not direct swap. hack off connectors, wire in teg connector, hack up civic trim or take off teg cluster cover.
C. use the EG chassis harness and the GSR engine harness, add a couple wires, move a couple wires and it works perfect. Use P28 or OBD1 P72 ECU.
D. Swaps right in, but manual labor wise it's not easy.
E. yes

Re: gsr swap in eg hatch (ITSME4G63)
Well, isnt the 94-95 GSR OBD1 like the 92-95 Civic. I know that 92 and half of the 93 is wired for VTEC. I just don't know if its plug and play.
