97 hatch still has weird idle problem....
Car only has an original 34,000 miles... Despite what my swapped cluster says.. It has the D16Y7
Still have a persistant/ intermittant hanging idle when disengaging the clutch and coasting... And with the clutch engaged in nuetral while coasting.
It only happens when the car is moving. If I'm parked, and rev the engine, it idles perfect...
It does work normally ocassionally, so I know something is wrong somewhere... ZThe idle wasn't hanging like this before.
Here are some videos of my tach.
This vid is of the car sitting and idling.. When I give it gas, it behaves normally..

This is how the car idles NORMALLY when I disengage the clutch/engage in nuetral while travelling..

Here is how it idles when I disengage the clutch/engage in nuetral when its acting up.. Notice how it idles down, but bobs back up... Sometimes its can rev higher too... Seen it go as far as 1200. It will also hang momentarily when I do stop. But always eventually idle down....

What I've done...
-Tried different throttle body/different TPS
-Brand New IACV
- MAP
- ECT
- Put original TB back on with new gasket
- Checked for vaccum leaks
Why does this only happen when I'm driving... To my knowledge, the cars idle has nothing to do with the car moving or not..
There is a VSS...
But in the Honda repair manual I have, it has nothing in the idle control section about the VSS having anything to do with the system...
I'm at a loss, and since this car is literally MINT, its kind of bugging me that its not working right..
PLEASE HELP

I don't believe that has anything to do with it.
The problem is something electrical..
But I've had them out, and its all mint..
Everything is like new...
Im starting to think this must just be in the programming...
