Can i turbo my Zc with $1500? If so what would my shopping list consist of? this is my first time building a motor. How much hp can i expect if its possible? This is my daily and bone stock if that helps at all...

The problem is that ALL the information you need is readily available. All you have to do is 1.Read the FAQs 2.Search through Google. Don't expect to be spoon fed because it won't happen. We ALL were in your position once, and most of us never got spoon fed.

Putting a turbo kit on a vehicle is not "building an engine".

$1,500 budget won't even get you half way there even with a junk *** eBay kit.

Save your pennies or sell your car and buy something else.

Also, pull up your pants son, it just looks silly.

 

Craigslist turbo kit plus vitara/rods/headstuds for 1500. Easy enough

Get the Ebay kit with the most parts in the picture.

 

You can make a turbo set-up from anywhere between about $150 and $15,000 without getting ridiculous.

 

I'm pretty sure that 90% of H-T cannot do basic math.

Vitara/rods/headstuds = ~650. I can see putting together a turbo setup for 850, if you know what you're doing and know what you're looking for and don't mind being cheap...

...clutch, Injectors, ECU+tuning for junior here? There is easily nearly a grand right there.

2500 is doable, 1500 is simply not going to happen.

 

Yup but I wouldn't recommend it if you need the car to go to work.

You are better off saving the cash and doing it right.

 

Stock engine and tranny.
Used Greddy kit.
Done and probably within budget.
